WELCOME TO THE REALITY FIGHTING ARTS.

R.F.A.-TIP  #1: Carry a blade on both sides of your body, front pockets preferable. Carpenter or similar multi-pocket pants are perfect for carrying multiple weapons. Quicker access is better. If you fall on one side, it may block access to your one and only blade. Carry two or more and have them on both sides of your body.

R.F.A. - TIP #2: Your keys are a readily available weapon while in public. Keep them handy in parking lots and other risk environments. Several "key puncture" punches can stop a large opponent in his tracks. Practice punching and puncturing cardboard boxes to get comfortable with the technique.

R.F.A. - TIP #3: Practice firearm disarms at all angles, all grips. Both the attacker and defender must try dozens of positions, angles of approach and threat distance to be effective. The more scenarios the better your reaction skills will be. Not everything will happen directly in front of you. In one of our scenarios, the defender is two positions back in line at a convenience store while customer in front of the counter draws a weapon. The assailant tells every customer in line to lie face down and does not want to leave any witnesses, what do you do? Another scenario is similar but the environment is a bank holdup. Want to die face down on the floor or learn a possible reaction for a chance at survival?

R.F.A.- #4: Practice firearm defense and disarms from a kneeling position, front, back and side. Also vary your distance. You may have to cooperate initially by going to your knees and waiting for your window of opportunity. Techniques from this position are extremely effective when practiced and timed properly.

R.F.A.- TIP #5: Practice all firearm disarm angles including those not directed at you. During a strong armed robbery you may not be the direct victim but an indirect victim or bystander. If you only practice disarms from in front and behind you will not have the reaction skill or technique for an indirect disarm.

R.F.A. - TIP #6: Carry multiple personal weapons. A folding blade as well as a Pepper Pen. A Pepper pen can be carried continuously in your hand while in a parking lot or other high risk public location. It can be used initially as a blunt striking weapon. After the strike use the pepper spray to further disable the assailant. New models also contain dye to mark the assailant for law enforcement.

R.F.A.- TIP #7: Stainless Steel Pens make lethal self-defense weapons. Can be carried continuously in hand in high risk public areas and make an exceptionally good striking and puncture weapon. Train with them regularly on defensive techniques and offensive vital point targeting.
